This is a small group workshop led by Kahoru Nakamura for those who want to learn more about the gakubiwa and want to try playing gagaku instruments themselves. It doesn’t matter if you are a beginner, inexperienced or experienced. All those interested in gagaku are welcome to join us. If you have a gagaku instrument, you can bring your own instrument (sho, hichiriki, ryuteki, gakubiwa) to play in the ensemble. For those who are interested in gakubiwa but do not have an instrument, we can also rent a gakubiwa. If you let us know in advance that you would like to play a specific piece, we can play the piece of your choice. Those who just want to take a tour are also welcome. Please feel free to contact us. Participation fee is 2500 yen.
